Being able to witness the complete life cycle of an animal from start to finish, over the course of many generations is just one of the many joys of keeping chickens. Taking on the care of a flock a chickens is definitely a responsibility that is not to be taken lightly, but it is a duty that you will grow to love. Chicken keeping has taught me many life lessons. The number one lesson is probably patience. The Patience not to kill my hens when they dig in the vegetable garden.
