Chickens Love Coconut

My chickens absolutely love coconut.  If I cut one open, they pick it straight off of the shell.  Coconut is  an extremely healthy food to integrate into your flocks diet.  even if you cannot get fresh coconut I would recommend getting coconut shavings to add to your feed.  I have seen in my experience that not only is it extremely nutritious for your birds, the coconut oil will help produce shiny colorful feathering on your birds.  Coconut water and ground coconut is what I usually try to give my newborn chicks as their first meal.  It is a great boost of hydration and nutrition at the same time.
